Ambroxol-ratiopharm Cough Syrup is a mucolytic for cough associated with colds and bronchial conditions. Ambroxol thins thick mucus and activates the cilia in the bronchi, supporting improved mucus clearance and reducing cough. The syrup has a fruity raspberry flavor and is suitable for children aged 2 and over, adolescents, and adults. It is also approved for use in children under 2, but only under medical supervision. Benefits: Loosens thick mucus and makes it easier to cough up; for bronchial conditions; suitable for self-medication in children aged 2 and over, as well as for adolescents and adults; fruity raspberry flavor. Active ingredient: Ambroxol hydrochloride. Each 5 ml of oral solution contains 15 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride. Other ingredients: 70% sorbitol solution (non-crystallizing) (Ph. Eur.), propylene glycol, saccharin, purified water, raspberry flavor (contains, among other ingredients, propylene glycol and benzyl alcohol), and benzoic acid. Directions: Take the syrup by mouth according to the instructions for use. Warnings: Ambroxol-ratiopharm Cough Syrup contains sorbitol, propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, and benzoic acid. The 30 mg and 60 mg cough-lozenge tablets contain lactose. The 75 mg sustained-release cough lozenges contain less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium per sustained-release capsule, meaning they are virtually sodium-free. Pharmacy-only medicine.
