The ASP was developed in collaboration with Dr. Paul Nogier for use in auricular acupuncture. It remains the most frequently used and most effective means of point stimulation in auricular acupuncture. The ASP is made of stainless steel and is housed in a plastic applicator. This applicator enables the practitioner to grip the needle easily and insert it precisely into the ear.
