avo+cado cotton prefolds are an affordable diapering system for anyone who wants to spend less without giving up natural fibers. Paired with a suitable diaper cover, they create a cute and reliable cloth diapering solution. After use, the prefold can be removed from the cover and replaced with a fresh one. The cover can therefore be used multiple times, reducing laundry and costs. avo+cado prefolds are flat absorbent inserts made from several layers of cotton sewn together. They are divided into three sections that can be folded into a convenient insert in one simple step. The sections can be unfolded again for washing and drying, allowing the prefolds to be cleaned more thoroughly and dry faster than absorbent inserts with all layers sewn together. New, unwashed avo+cado prefolds feel flat and smooth. After the first wash, they become softer and more absorbent. They also shrink to their usable size, and their surface becomes slightly textured. Before first use, wash the prefolds at 60C at least three times. This removes the cotton's natural oils and allows the fibers to become absorbent. The prefolds reach their full absorbency after approximately ten washes. For heavy wetters or whenever additional absorbency is needed, place any suitable absorbent insert inside the prefold. Material: 100% organic, unbleached, OEKO-TEX-certified cotton. Care: Washable up to 90C; 4060C is usually sufficient. Suitable for tumble drying. Warnings: Before first use, wash the prefolds at 60C at least three times to remove natural oils and establish absorbency. Use additional inserts for very heavy wetters or to increase absorbency.
