Product description Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a Mediterranean citrus fruit highly valued, especially in the perfume and cosmetics industries, due to its characteristic fragrance. Bergamot fruits taste sour and bitter because they are rich in flavonoids such as naringin. The olive tree (Olea europea) has been cultivated in the Mediterranean region for thousands of years. In addition to the well-known olive fruits, the leaves are also used as food, for example as tea. Among other compounds, they contain the bitter substance oleuropein, which protects the evergreen olive tree from plant diseases. Red fermented rice is particularly widespread in China. It is made by adding the fungus Monascus purpureus to rice. Monacolin K is the central active compound in red fermented rice. Each vegan capsule contains 100 mg bergamot extract with 35 mg bergamot flavonoids, 87.5 mg olive leaf extract with 35 mg oleuropein, and 83.3 mg Monascus purpureus extract with 2.5 mg monacolin K. Ingredients: Bergamot extract (35% flavonoids), olive leaf extract (40% oleuropein), Monascus purpureus extract (3% monacolin K), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule shell). Directions: Take 1 capsule daily with sufficient liquid. Warnings: A daily dose of 3 mg or more of monacolins from red fermented rice must not be consumed (pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2022/860). Products containing monacolins should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 18 years of age, or adults over 70 years of age. If health problems occur, seek medical advice before consuming this product. Since monacolin can lower cholesterol levels, products containing monacolin should not be consumed if you are taking cholesterol-lowering medication or already consuming other products containing red fermented rice. Simultaneous consumption of grapefruit juice may increase the effects of monacolin K. Therefore, avoid consuming these foods at the same time.
