The tongue-arch bar features a distinctive, flattened arch shape. This provides the tongue with optimal room. Many horses respond with improved relaxation and increased chewing activity. The bit is also well suited for so-called tongue players that try to place their tongue over the bit, as the arch effectively prevents this. With a height of 30 mm, the arch is fully permitted under the LPO regulations. This mouthpiece is therefore particularly suitable for horses that do not readily tolerate conventionally shaped bits because of pressure on the tongue and react by tossing their heads or similar behavior. The spring combination curb bit effectively combines leverage on the lower jaw bars, pressure on the poll, and a change in the position of the bit in the horses mouth.
