Biosel-HK Powder is a specially developed supplementary feed for dogs and cats containing biotin and zinc to support natural skin and hair growth. Skin and hair account for approximately 14% of body weight and require a balanced supply of nutrients, particularly during periods of increased activity such as growth, lactation, or coat change. Deficiencies may result from an unbalanced diet. Sulfur-containing amino acids, especially methionine, together with biotin and zinc, play an important role in the formation and regeneration of keratin. Biotin and zinc are components of the prosthetic groups of numerous enzymes involved in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism and have a particular affinity for hair-forming cells. Zinc utilization may be impaired by phytic acid and excess calcium, which can be offset by a higher zinc dosage. Feeding recommendation: Administer 2.5 g (approximately 1/2 measuring spoon) per 10 kg of body weight daily with food, milk, or drinking water for 35 weeks. 2.5 g of Biosel-HK provides 5 mg of biotin. Due to its higher additive content, this supplementary feed may only be administered to dogs and cats according to the feeding instructions. Composition: dextrose, sodium chloride, dicalcium phosphate, whey fat powder. Analytical constituents: crude protein 1.0%, crude fiber 0.5%, crude fat 0.7%, crude ash 5.2%. Additives per kg: biotin 2,000,000 mcg; zinc as zinc oxide 8,300 mg; DL-methionine 11,000 mg.
