The traditional Buiteman bakery is located in the heart of the Netherlands and has been producing savory crackers according to an old family tradition since 1958. Founded by J.Q. Buiteman, the company opened its first bakery in Arkel and moved to H.I. Ambacht in 1965. In the 1970s, it specialized in savory baked specialties in Etten-Leur. Today, the bakery is managed by his daughter Henritte and her husband Simon Klootwijk in the second generation. Mr. Buiteman himself worked daily in the bakery until 1995. The excellent quality of Buiteman products results from a unique combination of high-quality raw materials, a secret family recipe, and a traditional production process complemented by modern technology. The crackers are baked in the companys own bakery. Their delicate seasoning and crisp bite make them an ideal accompaniment to beer and wine and also a recommended snack between meals.
