Warnings For the well-being of your horse: A fly mask must fit properly to be effective. Otherwise, it may cause harm. The fit must be appropriate for the horse's or pony's head. Any adjustment options on the product can be used for final fitting. Even with an optimally fitted fly mask, the fit must be checked regularly, carefully, and by a knowledgeable person, and corrected if necessary. If the fly mask shifts, vision may be restricted or completely obstructed. In horses, as flight animals, this can cause panic and accidents. The ideal fit may be compromised by rubbing around the head or by other horses in group housing. In such individual cases, use of a fly mask is not recommended. Regularly check the coat and skin for areas of rubbing. These can also be caused by foreign objects, such as small stones or insects, between the mask and the horse, even when the mask fits optimally. The risk of skin irritation increases with sweat. Clean the mask regularly.
