This high-quality tea was awarded the seal for fair trade by TransFair e.V. Fair trade supports the independence and equal rights of partners disadvantaged in trade in the developing world. The additional amount paid for the tea is used directly to improve the living conditions of tea pickers and tea workers. This tea has fewer green leaf tips than usual and has a more fruity flavor. Overall, this Fairtrade tea is slightly stronger than comparable Darjeelings, while still remaining within the character of a Darjeeling First Flush. The tea should not be steeped for too long; approximately 13 minutes is recommended. Ingredients: Fairtrade black tea from Darjeeling Directions: Use 10 g (45 teaspoons) per 1 liter of water. Water temperature: 100C. Steep for 13 minutes.
