• STORY: Andr took over responsibility for the family vineyards in the 1970s and immediately began converting them to organic methods; the estate has been officially certified since 1984.

• VINIFICATION: Made with 80% Pinot Blanc, along with Auxerrois and Chardonnay. The grapes are allowed to ripen comparatively long for a pleasantly mild acidity; extended bottle fermentation on the lees adds elegance.
• TASTING: Fine, intense mousseux with yellow reflections. Delicately fruity and floral on the nose. Supple and well-balanced, made from Pinot Blanc (80%) and Chardonnay grapes.
• SERVING TEMPERATURE: 810 C

The next generation is now ready to continue running the estate. The vineyards, some in Grand Cru sites, are located in Wettolsheim, Wintzenheim, Eguisheim, and Mittelwihr. This results in different ripening periods and therefore adds tension and complexity to the wines. In addition to modern machinery, a horse is also used for vineyard maintenance. Despite extremely low sulfur additions, Andr produces expressive, age-worthy wines with great aging potential, as well as fine Crmants, a true specialty of the estate.
