Our calendula is a 100% natural product. It is free from pesticides and chemicals. It is grown and produced without chemicals, but has not been tested according to the strict requirements for organic certification. Calendula officinalis, calendula, common marigold, or Scottish marigold, is a flowering plant in the daisy family (Asteraceae). It is probably native to Southern Europe, although its long history of cultivation makes its exact origin unknown. The plant parts used are its flowers, which become light, brittle, odorless, and slightly bitter-tasting when dried. Calendula flowers are edible. They are often used to add color to salads, as a garnish for dishes, and in tea preparation. To prepare tea: Add 12 tablespoons of flowers to a cup of boiling water and let steep for 1015 minutes before straining. Drink up to 3 times daily.
