Green olives and anchovies make an unusual and interesting flavor combination known as an aperitif and also popular as a bar snack. The flavor is crisp and savory. Green olives are picked while still unripe. Before being placed in brine, they are treated with lye. This process reduces the bitter compounds in the unripe fruit and improves the texture of the flesh. The anchovies add an additional anchovy flavor. Ideal for decorating cold platters. Ingredients: pitted green Manzanilla olives, water, salt, 6% anchovies, flavor enhancer: E621, acidifiers: E330 and E270, antioxidant: E300, stabilizer: E401. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 6 days. Made in Spain. Pasteurized.
