The story of Ferrari began with Giulio Ferrari, who enrolled at the viticulture institute in Montpellier at the end of the 19th century to learn all about bottle fermentation. After returning to Trento, he planted the vines he had brought with him and produced the first bottle of Spumante in 1902. Over the years, Ferrari remained a family business, managed by the Lunelli family, who continued producing its masterful Spumante. In 1969, 100,000 bottles were produced for the first time.
