Sunlight causes discoloration. Do not expose latex to sunlight for extended periods. 4. Water and high humidity damage and discolor latex. Keep it dry. 5. Metal, including pennies and similar items, leaves stains on latex. Keep latex away from it. 6. Sharp objects, including long fingernails, can easily cause holes or tear your latex garment. 7. Sweat damages latex over time. Keep it clean. 8. Leather can also damage and weaken your latex. Washing Latex Fill a bucket with lukewarm water, add one or two drops of shampoo, and wash your latex in it. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water so that no shampoo residue remains. Hang it on a wooden or plastic hanger and allow it to dry inside and out. Storing Latex Store it away from sunlight.
