Latex care To enjoy your latex clothing for a long time, proper care is important. General care 1. Keep household oils, machine oil and grease away from latex clothing, as they can seriously damage it. 2. Extreme heat melts latex. Keep it away from radiators, candles and similar heat sources. 3. Sunlight causes discoloration. Do not expose latex to sunlight for extended periods. 4. Water and high humidity can damage and discolor latex. Keep it dry. 5. Metal, including pennies and similar items, can leave stains on latex. Keep latex away from metal. 6. Sharp objects, including long fingernails, can easily cause holes or tear the latex garment. 7. Sweat can damage latex over time. Keep it clean. 8. Leather can also damage and weaken latex. Washing latex Fill a bucket with lukewarm water, add one or two drops of shampoo, and wash the latex in it. Rinse it thoroughly with clean water so that no shampoo residue remains. Hang it on a wooden or plastic hanger and allow it to dry inside and out. Storing latex Store it away from sunlight. After washing, allow the latex to dry thoroughly, then polish it with water-based silicone oil or apply a small amount of talcum powder to the inside. Be careful with light colors, white and transparent latex. We recommend hanging these items in a garment bag or similar protective covering, as colored latex may stain them when stored close together. For blouses with buttons, fasten all buttons before hanging. Polish or lightly powder latex clothing before storage to help prevent garments from sticking to themselves.
