Description Gian Marco Venturi combines the discretion of the gentleman from an established heritage with the Gothic character of Italian fashion. The distinctive elements of the brand are shaped by the wearer and by the people who create its products. Venturi's image is reflected in men wearing ties and waistcoats, silk shirts and shoes made from the finest leather. It is a look from which the lines of the brand are developed. The characteristics that have established Venturi among trend-focused fashion designers are always projected toward the future. They fulfill consumers' desire for novelty by introducing previously unseen lines, new details and new color combinations into garments. All of this is a creative process that becomes style. Gian Marco Venturi transferred the characteristic tailoring creativity of exclusive designs to industrial production, creating a balance between quality and price. From a young age, he was passionate about fashion and also attended the textile institute in Prato. After graduating, he created his first models from denim with a friend. La Lebole made him initial proposals that he did not accept, preferring to maintain an independent direction. He then collaborated with several major clothing manufacturers and later transferred his signature as a designer to the knitwear collections of Marcko's Alexander, the ready-to-wear collections of Erreuno and the leather goods of Sader's. In 1979, he launched his own dynamic ready-to-wear line, which was well received by critics and the public. His first men's collection, presented in Milan in summer 1980, was successful and encouraged him to launch a women's collection the following season. These beginnings already contained the essential characteristics of his style: the search for unusual fine fabrics, combinations of volume, precise cuts and refined finishing. From that moment, the growth of his brand was very rapid. In 1985, Gian Marco Venturi S.p.A. was established. In addition to ready-to-wear, the company began producing sportswear and underwear, men's shirts, ties, socks, leather goods, jewelry, fragrances and eyewear. Alongside three mono-brand boutiques in Japan and 12 franchise outlets, Gian Marco Venturi entered exclusive agreements with Swank Shop in Hong Kong and Taiwan and Man and His Woman in Singapore. Its products were also distributed through more than 500 outlets in Italy and abroad. Venturi identified Rupert Everett and Charlotte Rampling with his fashion: Rupert Everett for his natural elegance and distinctly European class, and Charlotte Rampling for being a chic woman with pronounced femininity, to which the years add a new and subtler charm. Although Milan is the city where his professional sphere expanded, Florence remains his city, the place to which he returns. Whenever possible, he goes to Florence to care for his plants. The plants inspire his sense of color. Florence is sometimes considered a provincial city, but it was only in this city that new trends could emerge at least six months ahead of other cities. It is a small but international city. The Venturi man is 30 to 35 years old, fashion-conscious but not carried away by excess. For him, the quality of the fabric, tailoring and functionality play decisive roles. The Venturi woman prefers a look with clean lines that moves forward without ever being distracted by anything superfluoussimple, elegant and refined. The style developed by Venturi, both in clothing and in all accessories, is characterized by continual evolution and development, free from unnecessary embellishments that could mark fashion in its changes. Venturi's favorite colors are pure colors above all: white, black and red. This is how the world of Gian Marco Venturi has grown and spread, establishing itself for more than 30 years with a consistently current and successful style. Today, Gian Marco Venturi focuses on classic and casual clothing, accessories, eyewear, shoes, leather goods, pajamas, underwear, swimwear, home textiles and fragrances.
