Gian Marco Venturi entered the world of Italian fashion with the discretion of a gentleman of old heritage. The character of fashion is formed by the elements of those who invent and create it. Venturia man in a tie and vest, silk shirts, and shoes made of the finest leatherpersonally reflects the image of his fashion. His look gives rise to the lines he creates. The distinctive qualities that established Venturi among fashion designers whose trends are always projected into the future capture potential consumers desire for novelty by giving garments previously unseen lines, new details, and new color combinations. All of this is creation that becomes style. Gian Marco Venturi transferred the creativity typical of exclusive tailoring models to industrial production, creating a perfect balance between quality and price. A graduate in economics and commerce, he initially studied to please his parents, but from a very young age he had a passion for fashion and also attended the textile institute in Prato. After graduating, he created his first denim models with a friend. Lebole was the first to make him proposals, which he declined in favor of maintaining autonomy over his direction. He then collaborated with several major clothing manufacturers and later lent his signature as a fashion designer to the knitwear collections of Marckos Alexander, prt--porter for Erreuno, and leather apparel by Saders. In 1979, he began his own dynamic prt--porter line, which was well received by critics and the public. His first mens collection, presented in Milan in summer 1980, was a success that inspired him to launch a womens collection the following season. These early years contained all the defining features of his style: the search for unusual fine fabrics, progressive volumes, precise cuts, and meticulous finishing. The growth of his signature was very rapid from then on. In 1985, Gian Marco Venturi S.p.A. was established and began producing, alongside prt--porter, sportswear and underwear, mens shirts, ties, socks, leather goods, jewelry, perfume, and eyewear. In addition to three single-brand boutiques in Japan and 12 franchise outlets, Gian Marco Venturi entered exclusive agreements with Swank Shop in Hong Kong and Taiwan and Mann and Seine Frau in Singapore. Gian Marco Venturi products were also distributed through more than 500 retail outlets in Italy and abroad, among the most highly qualified in terms of image and prestige. Venturi described the ideal man and woman for his type of fashion as Rupert Everett, for his natural elegance and distinctly European class, and Charlotte Rampling, because she is a chic woman with pronounced femininity to which the years have added a new and subtler charm. Although Milan is the city in which he expanded his business activities, Florence remains his city and the place to which he returns. Whenever he can, he rushes to Florence to care for his plants. The plants inspire his sense of color. Florence is sometimes considered a provincial city, but it was in this city that new trends were discovered at least six months ahead of other cities. It is a small but international city. The Venturi man is 30 to 35 years old, fashion-conscious but not taken in by excess. For him, the quality of the fabric, tailoring, and construction plays a decisive role, while functionality is not neglected. The Venturi woman prefers a look with clean lines and pays attention to the flow of fashion without ever being drawn into excess, remaining simply elegant and refined. In summary, Venturis stylistic product, both in clothing and in all accessories, represents development and evolution, always free from the unnecessary frills that can characterize fashion in its changes. Venturis favorite colors are pure colors above all: white, black, and red. The world of Gian Marco Venturi continues to grow and spread, defined for more than 30 years by a style that remains current and successful. Today, Gian Marco Venturi products focus on classic and casual clothing, accessories, eyewear, shoes, leather goods, nightwear, underwear, swimwear, home dcor, and perfume.
