The Impact Equalizer Half Pad absorbs and evenly distributes shocks, relieving both the horses back and the riders back. It is suitable for every discipline as well as regular training, as it continuously distributes pressure across the horses back. This makes it easier for the horse to tense and relax its muscles, supporting freer movement. Over time, this contributes to a supple and content horse. Shocks caused by the rider are also absorbed, helping stabilize the saddle and providing ergonomic benefits for both horse and rider. The saddle pad is made from memory foam and 3D spacer fabric. Together, these materials create a shock-absorbing cushion. The memory foam distributes pressure evenly and continually adapts to the horses shape. The breathable 3D spacer fabric allows air to reach the horses back. This combination makes the half pad 20% to 30% lighter than most other pads on the market. The pad is not only lighter, but also helps the rider feel closer to the horse and improve communication. Kentucky Horsewear uses memory foam known for its use in the military and as a protective material. The half pad is designed to protect the horse in the same way. The 3D spacer has a honeycomb structure with a spring-like effect and shock-absorbing properties. The highly breathable material helps prevent the horses back from overheating, reducing irritation. The wither cutout is made from synthetic leather and provides comfort by relieving pressure on the horses spine. A silicone pattern helps keep the half pad in position while riding and prevents it from sliding under the saddle. Care instructions: The Impact Equalizer Half Pad is machine washable at 86F (30C). Remove the memory foam from inside the half pad before washing. Do not tumble dry.
