KH Booster is a specially developed product for increasing carbonate hardness in marine and freshwater aquariums. It contains a selected blend of different carbonate-hardness increasers for fast and safe use in the aquarium, supporting optimal nitrification and healthy coral growth. Functions and other benefits: - Fast and safe increase of carbonate hardness. - Supplies bacteria with the fuel needed for nitrification. - Supports coral growth. - During nitrification, bacteria can break down hazardous ammonium/ammonia only when the carbonate hardness is sufficiently high. It should be at least 3 dH in freshwater and 8 dH in marine water. Dosage: One level dosing scoop increases carbonate hardness by approximately: - 11 dH in 20 liters - 5.5 dH in 40 liters - 2.7 dH in 80 liters - 2.2 dH in 100 liters Directions for use: To use the Microbe-Lift KH Bio-Active Booster, add 0.5 kg to increase the KH value by approximately 80 ppm in 800 gallons of water. To maintain the KH value between 50 and 100 ppm, add 0.5 kg to increase KH by approximately 50 ppm in 1,333 gallons or 25 ppm in 2,667 gallons.
