Founded in 1990, the Loc Maria Biscuits Group aims to combine traditional craftsmanship and regional expertise to ensure the long-term development of biscuit factories. Its first acquisition took place in the year it was founded: the Gavottes biscuit factory in Dinan. Between 1993 and 2009, the group expanded its expertise through external growth and acquired several biscuit and pastry businesses, including Aliz in Plomelin, Les Galettes de Pleyben, Bulher in Besanon, Les Biscuits Mistral in Semur-en-Auxois, and Jos Pon in Coray. In 2012, the acquisition of the Traou Mad biscuit factory in Pont-Aven added the production of the three main Breton pastry specialties: crpes dentelle, galettes, and palets. That same year, the company established a subsidiary in Philadelphia, USA, to support growth in the North American market. Both Gavottes and Traou Mad have received the French Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) quality label. In 2016, the new production facility in Lanvallay, Department 22, was officially opened, where the famous Gavottes crpes dentelle are produced.
