Product description Surprisingly, babies do not need silence to sleep. The womb is a very noisy place and can have a calming effect on babies. Loud, constant sounds can quickly help soothe fussy or colicky babies, especially when the sound is louder than their crying. The Shhh Sleep Machine was designed to give parents a break while taking scientific findings into account. It features three different sounds to first calm an upset baby (shushing), create a relaxed mood (heartbeat), and finally help the baby sleep through the night (white noise). This portable, battery-operated device can be helpful when you are away from home with your baby and your baby needs some sleep. It also features a timer and a night light that can pulse in time with the sound. Hopefully, this sleep machine will save some parents from turning on the washing machine or driving around in the car in the middle of the night just to keep from losing their minds. Instructions for use Press the button to cycle through the three different sounds: shushing, heartbeat, and white noise. Set the soft night light to stay on continuously or pulse in sync with the selected sound. Set the automatic shutoff timer in 10-, 20-, or 30-minute increments. Operate the device with 2 AA batteries (not included). The device is available in assorted colors: blue or gray. Warnings Choking hazard: Keep out of reach of children under 3 years. Do not use for longer than 30 consecutive minutes to avoid excessive noise exposure.
