Product description Pineapple is a plant species belonging to the bromeliad family. It originally comes from the Americas and is now cultivated worldwide in tropical regions as a fruit crop. It is grown in Sri Lanka and India, as well as in South America, particularly Colombia. The fleshy pineapple fruit can be eaten fresh or processed into juice and canned fruit. Dried pineapple rings are also especially popular. Properties of dried pineapple rings: They have a high degree of dryness, making them firm to the bite. The longer you snack on them, the more their fruity pineapple flavor develops. Their distinctive aroma reflects the influence of the tropical sun on the ripening and drying process. Dried pineapple rings are also free from additives such as sulfur, sugar, flavor enhancers, and artificial colors. Ingredients: Pineapple The pineapples are harvested when fully ripe. The stem and peel are removed before they are sun-dried. They are especially rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They contain approximately 13.7 g of carbohydrates and 2.3 g of protein per 100 g. Through the ripening process, all ingredients can develop their full effect. Because they lose acidity during drying, they have a particularly fruity and sweet taste. Dried pineapple rings are therefore suitable as a snack between meals or as sports nutrition. They have a shelf life of at least 12 months.
