This fatty acid is otherwise found mainly in mink oil, which is considered precious but problematic for animal welfare reasons. It promotes the oil's absorption and ensures good spreadability, making it very pleasant to apply. The oil's fatty acid composition is very similar to that of human sebum. It is therefore well tolerated and provides excellent care for sensitive, dry, and brittle skin. It smooths the skin, makes it soft, and supports regeneration. When macadamia nut oil is applied, it also forms a light, non-greasy film that provides natural protection from solar radiation and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
