Processing: Have you tried our tiger nuts? They sound like nuts, but they are not nuts. They belong to the sedge family and grow as small tubers at the end of the grass roots, similar to potatoes. Best of all, they are naturally sweet. Tiger nuts also provide plenty of fiber and are rich in iron. The tubers are very hard but become soft when soaked in water. They can then be eaten as a snack or processed into a naturally sweet plant-based drink. Instructions for preparing the traditional Spanish refreshment Horchata (tiger nut drink) can be found in our recipe. Preparation: For making plant-based drinks. Ingredients: 100% whole tiger nuts*. Before eating, soak the tiger nuts in water until soft. Serve at room temperature. May contain: tree nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts, sesame, lupin. Not contained (not tested): gluten-containing grains, wheat, Khorasan wheat, spelt, rye, barley, oats, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soy, milk, lactose, celery, mustard, sulfites, mollusks.
