A touch of the South! Information Rosemary is indispensable in Mediterranean, especially Italian, cuisine. It is part of the well-known "Herbes de Provence" blend and has been valued for a long time. It is related to thyme, lavender, and sage. Although its rosemary needles might suggest that it belongs to the conifer family, rosemary belongs to the mint family. Aroma & Flavor Slightly bitter Resinous and spicy Uses Rosemary can be used in many ways. It is excellent with meat and potatoes and pairs very well with apples or even honey. Our Tip Dried rosemary has a more intense flavor than fresh rosemary. 1 tsp of dried rosemary is equivalent to approximately 3 tsp of fresh rosemary.
