Forms a breathable, transparent, effective barrier film for up to 96 hours. It has been shown to form a protective layer when applied to intact skin or skin damaged by urinary and/or fecal incontinence, bodily fluids, wound exudate, adhesives, and friction, and has been shown to help protect skin integrity from trauma during dressing removal. According to international guidelines, preventive skin care with a pH-balanced cleanser, a protectant/barrier product, and a moisturizer may help maintain skin integrity and hygiene as part of a structured skin care regimen1 for the prevention of pressure injuries.
