Before Sweet Georgia Brown became almost exclusively associated with pomade after 1984, the brand was part of the range of the renowned Valmor Products Company of Chicago during the 1930s and 1940s. Valmor became known for its iconic Art Deco labels, elegant men's grooming products, and distinctive barbershop charm. At that time, the Sweet Georgia Brown range included not only pomades but also brillantine, hair tonics, and talcum powderstrue classics of American men's grooming. The Hair Tonic contains approximately 3% of the original oil-based Sweet Georgia Brown fragrance oil, made in the USAa concentration more commonly associated with eau de colognes. Warm, sweet, powdery, elegant, and unmistakable, it immediately evokes pomade shine, barbershop leather chairs, talcum powder, and the charm of the 1930s. But the Hair Tonic offers more than fragrance: It refreshes the scalp, invigorates the senses, and gives the hair a naturally groomed finish with very light hold. Coconut Oil Esters, Creatine, and Allantoin care for the hair and scalpideal for daily use, refreshing a hairstyle, or as a classic barber finish after a haircut.
