Coffee in Tanzania is mainly produced by smallholder farmers organized in cooperatives. The most important association is the Kilimanjaro Native Cooperative Union (KNCU), which produces one of Africas highest-quality coffees on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africas highest mountain at 6,000 m. Our Tanzania comes from the foothills of Kilimanjaro and grows at elevations of around 1,500 m under ideal climatic conditions. Our Kilimanjaro is a high-grown, large-bean specialty coffee that harmoniously combines a soft, full-bodied richness with delicate aromas featuring hints of apricots, peaches, cherries and caramela coffee highly appreciated by connoisseurs.
