Wearing In general, latex clothing is designed to fit snugly. Therefore, it can be difficult to put on without the help of a lubricant. There are three main methods for preparing latex garments for wear. (1) Lightly dust the inside of the garment with talcum powder before putting it on, as scattered talcum powder and dust are clearly visible on rubber. (2) Use a silicone-based lubricant. Apply a thin layer to the inside of the garment and, if necessary, to your skin. (3) A third method of reducing or eliminating the high friction of latex when dressing is to chlorinate the rubber. Rubber can easily leave stains or tear fingernails if excessive force is used when pulling on your garment. Make sure your garment is well lubricated or powdered. You may also want to wear a pair of lightweight cotton gloves to prevent damage. When handling latex with bare hands, make sure they are clean before coming into contact with your garment. Note that rubber can become permanently brown when it comes into contact with copper, brass, or bronzebe careful with copper coins. Never expose latex to essential oils. Never expose your garment to open flames or fire, as rubber burns. Polishing Your garment will be delivered unpolished. To add shine, we recommend using a silicone-based polish or a special latex polish. Never polish with furniture polish, and avoid oil-based lubricants and creams, as these destroy rubber. Do not rub the outside of your garment too vigorously or with a rough cloth, as the shiny surface may be permanently scratched.
