Winzerhof Ebringen was founded in 1951 and is one of the smallest wine-producing cooperatives in southwestern Germany. The vintners tend their vineyards with great passion and care, as winegrowing in Ebringen has an exceptionally rich and long tradition. The first documented mention dates back to 716, when an Ebringen vineyard was transferred to St. Gall Abbey. The high-quality wine, shaped by the mild climate, location, and soil, was surely very welcome at the famous abbey. Ebringen can therefore look back on 1,300 years of winegrowing and is one of the oldest wine-growing communities in southwestern Germany. From here, decisive impulses originated for the later development of the Markgrflerland and Breisgau wine-growing regions.
